In collaboration with Lift and Near Future Laboratory, Interactive Things explores digital traces left by mobile phones in Ville Vivante. Lines and paths flow from place to place in Geneva, Switzerland, showing how the people move in and out of the city during a 24-hour period.

I came across this and was immediately fascinated. To me, this project, done by Frog Design, is an ideal example of beautifully executed information visualization.
Design Frog describes the project as “Real-time visualization of geolocated Tweets from around the world.”
The site is very user friendly and also customizable.
A World of Tweets is a very successful example of information visualization and is also very pleasing on the eye. Instantly one of my favorite information visualizations on the web.
