this is for no becoming yes
this is for fear becoming trust
this is for saying i love you to people who will never say it to us
for scraping away the rust
and remembering how to shine
for the dime you gave away when you didn’t have a penny
for the many beautiful things we do
for every song we’ve ever sung
for refusing to believe in miracles
because miracles are the impossible coming true,
and everything is possible
I needed this.

Nutella is delicious, and if you want to know how to make on your own, watch this joint. I said this at the end of the video, but much thanks to the ladyfriend for her help and patience.
A few notes:
My original thoughts notwithstanding, homemade Nutella isn’t cheaper than the store-bought alternative. Assuming you already own milk and jars or other containers, the (rough) cost breaks down to $3.50 for decent bittersweet chocolate chips, $5 for hazelnuts, and $2 for sweetened condesenced milk. The recipe makes enough for three 8 ounce jars, or $3.50 per jar. For the most part, this is either on par with or more expensive than the alternative. The difference is that homemade hazelnut-chocolate spread is a lot tastier than the stuff you buy at the supermarket.
I only processed the roasted hazelnuts for two or three minutes, but you can continue for a bit longer than that if you prefer a smoother spread. After five minutes, the hazelnuts reach a butter-like consistency, which you can use as normal in the rest of the recipe. The next time I make this, I’ll probably go that route.
If you’re using jars to store your spread – if you’re using them to store anything, you should clean them very well. I soaked my jars in hot soapy water for 15 minutes, and then washed them by hand before I used them. When preserved in a clean jar, the Nutella should last for a month in the refridgerator.
My favorite is the commentary about keeping an eye on the unstable food processor. LOL.
